In spite of the sophisticated table marking Red Dog is a relatively simple game. The dealer deals round three cards from the deck, and the player bets that the third card will appear higher than one of the first two cards, but lower than the other one. (If you are already familiar with the red dog rules you can skip the next chapter and read the instructions to the virtual play mode only).
Red Dog Rules
The red dog game is played with 6 decks of 52 cards each. The cards value is commonly accepted: the two is the lowest card; and aces are always high. The suit of the cards does not matter.
The red dog game starts as usual: the player makes a wager, then the dealer opens two cards from the deck.
In case they are equal the third card is dealt.
If the value of the third card equals to the first two cards (combination poker three) the player wins gets his bet back, plus winning payed 11 to 1 (bet a dollar, get back 12).
If the first two cards are equal in their values and the third drawn card differs from them, the player gets his wager back.
If the values of the first two cards are consecutive (2 and 3, Queen and Jack, etc.), then the third card is not dealt, and the player gets his wager back.
If the first two cards are neither equal nor consecutive, the dealer announces spread - the number of card values between the two cards. For example, the spread between 2 and 4 is 1 (because there can be only one card between 2 and 4); the spread between Jack and Ace is 2 (Queen and King), etc. When the spread is established the player may either double his bet or proceed the red dog game with the initial bet. The dealer then opens the third card from the deck.
If this card fits into the spread between the first two cards, the player gets back his stake plus winning calculated according to the following coefficients.
One card spread pays 5 to 1;
Two cards spread pays 4 to 1;
Three cards spread pays 2 to 1;
Four and more cards spread - 1 to 1 (bet a dollar, raise the bet to two, get back four).
Red Dog Instructions
To begin the red dog game, choose the value of the chips you wish to make bets with. To do that, click on the chip of appropriate value in the lower right corner of the screen.
Click on the central round field. Every click will increase your bet by the amount of the chip selected (if you wish you may change the gambling chip value).
If you wish to change the bets you placed, press Clear Bets. Or holding the space key click on the chips to remove them from the table one by one. After that place bets again.
Push the Deal button - the cards will be dealt, and the buttons Raise and Call will emerge.
If the values of the first two cards are neither equal nor successive the two buttons appear. Choose one of them:
Call. Continue without doubling your bet.
Raise. Double your bet and continue.
The dealer will deal the third card from the deck and make the calculations.
After the round end you may push the Rebet button to place the same bets as you did the last round.
